I’ve always loved to dress up. When I was a little girl I wore dresses everyday. I’m definitely not a girly-girl either (and not a tomboy). I just like to look pretty and be comfortable. That said, my usual attire is jeans, a t-shirt and a sweater. Now that I’ve been going to church and spring has sprung, I’ve been pulling more summery skirts and dresses out of my closet. But there’s a problem because it’s chilly enough for a sweater but not a jacket. Also, with LDS modesty standards in effect, I can’t wear my sleeveless dresses without something over of my shoulders. Soo… being the knitter I am I found the wonderful Clementine Shawlette from Interweave Press. And then I went to my local yarn shop and picked up Farmhouse Yarn’s Bonnie’s Bamboo yarn. I love love love this yarn. It’s soft and shiny and it’s made from sustainable bamboo. This knit will be so beautiful. Then I found Whit Knit’s Evening Shug, which is also made out of Bonnie’s Bamboo. I think it will have to be my next project.
(Yes, this blog is rather random - drinking, boyfriends, and conversion on minute, and knitting, ecology and college admissions the next. My mind works like that. Besides, I can’t be serious all the time.
